Emily Blatchford: I compete in PRO Bikini and PRO International Model.
Pure Elite: What motivates you to compete in bodybuilding?
Emily Blatchford: I love having a goal to work towards. Committing to something and working hard every day to achieve it is so fulfilling. Bodybuilding is unique because the goalpost is always moving—there’s always more to achieve!
Pure Elite: Can you share a significant moment from your fitness journey that stands out to you?
Emily Blatchford: Becoming the UK Champion on my PRO debut for Pure Elite in April 2024 was an epic moment!
Pure Elite: What advice would you give to someone aspiring to compete in bodybuilding or with Pure Elite?
Emily Blatchford: If you’re curious about bodybuilding and competing, make sure you have a coach with show prep experience. Watch different shows to understand what each federation looks for. You’ll never regret investing in something you’re passionate about.
Pure Elite: Why did you choose to compete with Pure Elite?
Emily Blatchford: After competing with other federations, I felt most comfortable at Pure Elite. It’s one big community where you feel truly welcomed.
Pure Elite: What has been the highlight of your experience competing with Pure Elite so far?
Emily Blatchford: Turning UK Champion on my PRO debut was definitely the highlight!
Pure Elite: How would you describe the community and support you’ve experienced with Pure Elite?
Emily Blatchford: Every single person you meet backstage or through social media is so supportive. It’s an incredible community.
Pure Elite: What are you most looking forward to at this year’s World Championships?
Emily Blatchford: The backstage atmosphere is amazing! I’m excited to catch up with competing friends who I usually only see on show day or through social media.
Pure Elite: Is there any Pure Elite Pro you would like to compete against?
Emily Blatchford: I’d love to share the stage with my good friend and posing coach, Lauren Calladine, one day!
