What a year 2021 was.

At the end of each year I look for ways I can improve Pure Elite. The Fitness Model Industry is still evolving and I always strive for Pure Elite to be at the front of that. From being the first federation to introduce the tattooed category to changing the name for yummy mummy to Mums That Lift.

For 2022 I will be making a few changes that I believe will benefit all the athletes and the show day experience.

I will be removing and dropping the couples category, the routine category and the Junior Fitness Model category. Over the years the numbers for these categories have always been low. The routine category did have a lot of Pro’s that entered in 2019, but that was only because I asked everyone to do it. I love the routine category, but if you the athletes do not want to enter it, then you have told me I should drop it.

The next change comes with a heavy heart, I am removing the figure category. I love the figure category and in fact two of our four pro female overall world champions from the last 8 years have won the figure category. When I first included figure into Pure Elite it was for me, I love the category. But it does not sit in a fitness model federation and with the start of loads more federations I would rather drop the category so other shows can have larger numbers rather than have smaller numbers on stage at multiple shows.

The tattooed category will now be split into two categories. So instead of just having tattooed where there is not a specific physique but you are judged on your overall physique balance, symmetry, etc. We now will have Tattooed Bikini and Tattooed Fitness Model for females and Tattooed Fitness Model and Tattooed Muscle Model for the guys. So now there is a specific physique criteria for the tattooed categories. If the numbers are low I will merge the categories and revert back to the criteria we have had since 2014.

Junior Bikini will now be Bikini 17-23. So we have the Bikini category (bikini open) which anyone can enter. Then we have Bikini 17-23, Bikini 35+ (Diva) and Bikini 45+ (Masters)

Every Female Pro winner will now receive a Tiara

Every Male Pro Winner will now receive a championship belt

Anyone that knows me or has spent time with me knows I hate plastic, I dont even drink from a plastic bottle (unless there really isn’t any other choice). So I am making the decision to move away from trophies and replace with MASSIVE metal medals. They really are going to be huge. Also as we all try and become a little bit more sustainable, it really is easier to transport 1000s of medals around the globe rather than trophies. The weight of the trophies with the marble bottoms can be pretty heavy. But the overall space they take up is crazy.
